Unfortunately,that's only my personal wish, meanwhile I must accept the fact,
That we have too few member equiped with " Technical English".
The world changes quickly. yesterday evening before i went to sleep,
suddenly i had an idea, maybe we could invite some foreigners
to join us if some of us did have some foreign colleagues
(native english or not native english will both ok,as we have different cutures,
so we think in different way),then we surely would have much more topics,and
most of us will be more passionate to discuss here. certainly we hope that happen, but they may feel boring...
I have to say, it is hard to keep hanging around in here and saying anything with us <10 people.
It is even harder to find native speakers as volunteers. If they have leisure time after paid work, they may go sightseeing or work out. For the small portion of those who want to be volunteers and help others, they may choose to help people need more help, like teaching the poor children in rutal areas. Foreigners? Maybe that will work if our forum allow people to ask questions in English at least in ABAQUS :PI find that there are several yahoo groups in which people can study softwares together and share their experience just like simwe. However, I know that it should be not so easy to make such a big change in simwe. I forgot something :)
FM, when shall we have new moderators in "technical english"?although I can not join in because of graduation and job stuff. It would be helpful if we attract "new blood" to this field, can you find some guys who want to be a member of us?
BTW, we allknow that perch88 and xiao are qualified candidates. You may find there are plenty of ID in simwe, speaks very noble English.

We are absolutely not boys and girls in rutal areas, we are all free ID.
It's widely understandable, English is not our mother tongue, we are well-educated for engineering.
We hang here just because we wish to learn a little bit more and share information.

there are indeed many difficuties,it seems people are more fond ofcommunicating with others
face to face.i'd like that too if i did have some chances.but we don't,not only for me,but also for
most of you,right?

But what I can do is so limited,I need the help from all of you.

I'm 100% pure Chinese, been in Aus for almost 8yrs since 17yo, I guess my english is ok but I don't say/write fancy words, my style is simple and straight to the point. Technically, I'm now doing a lot of offshore flexible pipeline/riser/cable, subsea structure installation works, and I also did some hydrostatics analysis for semi-sub like structures.
