如何将文件路径保存为字符串变量？

我的模型文件路径为E:\sue\simulation-20150701\model and current\model of cip，导入模型时用如下命令：
     ~parain,sheet,x_t,'E:\sue\simulation-20150701\model and current\model of cip',,0,0
没有问题，但由于利用这个路径的地方很多，想将路径定义为一个字符串变量，如下：
     model_path='E:\sue\simulation-20150701\model and current\model of cip'
     ~parain,sheet,x_t,model_path,,0,0
此时出错，显示没有该模型。请问各位，错在什么地方，应该怎么修改？
