1.  Welcome Message from the Conference ChairDear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to announce the 8th International Workshop on Modeling in Crystal Growth (IWMCG-8), to be held in Spa, Belgium, Radisson Blu Balmoral Hotel, from November 15th to 18th, 2015.
IWMCG-8 continues the tradition of the seven previous international modeling workshops to bring together scientists, researchers, industrial engineers and crystal growers working in the field of modeling in crystal growth. The objective is to cover a broad range of topics related to the progress and achievements in the field of modeling of bulk crystal growth and thin film deposition. IWMCG-8 is the biggest event of its kind worldwide, and we anticipate up to 100 participants.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IWMCG-8 will focus on the following topics:
-       Global and defect engineering modeling of melt and solute
-       ion growth of semiconductor, metal, oxide and other optical crystals by Cz, VGF, DSS, FZ, EFG and other related methods.
-  Recent commercial software development for crystal growth.
-  Modeling of CVD and vapor growth of thin film materials.
-  Multi-scale modeling of crystal growth phenomena taking place at nano-, meso-, and macro-scales.
-  Advanced numerical techniques for crystal growth modeling (a full session will be exclusively devoted to this latter issue).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IWMCG-8 will include invited oral, oral, and poster presentations, thereby providing an ideal platform for fruitful exchanges between scientific and industrial participants.
Focused sessions will be organized based upon the topical distribution of papers. Contributed papers are requested in all relevant areas for all meetings. Abstracts should be sent whenever possible according to the instructions provided in this website.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Deadline summary is as follows:
-  Deadline for abstract submission:  September 20, 2015
-  Notification of acceptance:  September 25, 2015
-  Deadline for early registration:  September 30, 2015
-  Program available:  October 15, 2015
-  Deadline for submission of full paper:  October 31, 2015.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
