Monolithic Reactor  
  This model simulates the catalytic abatement of a volatile organic compound (VOC), in this case a contaminant in a waste gas. For simple geometries the reactor can be described by a 2D model using time as the z-axis. 3D modeling is necessary if the channels have irregular shape or if the level of active coating is non-uniform along the monolith channels.
