first, if some one wants to simulate the CFD problem, CFX or Fluent is the first option, casue these two codes are pure CFD code, while ADINA is not very good in this field
second, if some one wants to simulate FSI or some multifiled coupling problmes, it should depend on what kinds of problem u want to simulate, if u just want to learn the structure deformation, I think, CFX and ANSYS coupling is good option, if u want to simulate the large deformation problem with highy nonlinear characteristics, ADINA is good option, cause ADINA is based on ALE method to simulate such problem. at the same time, we have to confess that new FLUENT code supply 6DOF method to simulate the large deformation problems, it adopts the remeshing method to realize such process, i think that is more useful in large deformation field, of course now there is a code named MPCCI which also supply a interface between the FEM code and FVM code, so I think the code is just a tool, the most important is that the thoery, if there is no theory development, nothing is useful. but in fact, from my point of view, when I use the ADINA simulates the flow field, it is not good, sometime it is good in steady state, but to unsteady state, especially for SST, WALE, OR LES OR DES model, the results is not good, while the CFX and Fluent can supply us better results, so I think if u want to study FSI and especially for the Strucutre field, ANSYS, CFX and MFX and ADINA are also good choice, but if u want to study the flow filed more, the choice should be CFX and Fluent. |
