Site visiting Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd

有幸跟Technip的大牛John Halkyard参观了Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd 在建的Spar
这是除墨西哥湾之外的第一个Spar平台.Spar是特别适合深水的一种平台形式,是今后offshore发展的主要方向,目前中国还没有一个此类平台,相关研究设计工作也还没又展看.从事Spar设计的主要是Technip和J. Ray McDermott公司,前者占有绝对的技术优势.这次参观的是在马来西亚开发的油田THE KIKEH FIELD
,水深1,330m,是马来西亚开发的第一个深水油田.

The Spar hull for Kikeh will be 142m long, with a diameter of 32m and have a steel weight of approximately 12,000 mt. The topsides facilities will weigh approximately 3,000 mt and provide a 25-slot wellbay for dry tree wellheads. Delivery of the Spar hull is scheduled for 2006, with first production in the second half of 2007.

The Kikeh Development is located in offshore Block K Malaysia, which is operated by Murphy with an 80% working interest. Petronas Carigali, a wholly owned exploration and production company of Petronas, holds the remaining 20%. The Kikeh Area has a recoverable reserve base in excess of 400 million barrels with associated expansion ability.
同去的还有 Cambridge Univerisity 的Professor Andrew Palmer,他是一位offshore pipelines 的设计专家.中国的offshore比起国外差距还是很大啊,希望有志之士共同致力于中国的offshore事业.

这个国内一般很少有这么好的技术条件，能把船设计好就不错了，虽然新加坡那边海工做的也比较多，可大部分还是生产设计，真正的技术设计还是在huston
