Mechanical Engineer, Analysis – CRD
MajorArea of Responsibilities:
1. Hoisting system design & load bearing structure analysis work forR&D projects:
<1> FEM analysis / hand calculations for new or optimized designs.Analyze the strength / deformation / modes of load bearing mechanicalcomponents / structures.
<2> Calculations for elevator system mainly on mechanics (traction &ropes, guide rails, reaction forces for buildings, etc).
<3> Understand KONE internal requirements, dimensioning rules, and processes.
<4> Communicate and cooperate with related experts inside CRD / otherR&D units to verify the analysis results.
<5> Share the analysis results with category team / platform team to getthe approval.
<6> Hand over the analysis results to category team / platform team aspart of project documentation.
<7> Provide technical support (calculation & analysis &suggestions accordingly) to other mechanical engineers / members involved indifferent projects. Make ensure designs are feasible from the beginning.
<8> Actively plan and participate in laboratory testing to validate theanalysis results and designs.
2. Documentation management:
<1> Create “Technical Attachment” documentation for analysis resultsaccording to KONE standards.
3. Participate in and assist to the project management work:
<1> Participate in the review of project stage results. Assist the CDE /project manager to prepare reports related to calculations / analysis fordesigns (hoisting system / components).
<2> Participate in FMEA(Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)sessions as an expert related to mechanical strength / hoisting system.
4. Other related tasks assigned by the Manager.
Requirements:
1. University degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is a must.Master’s degree and especially a major in Structural Mechanics are preferred.
2. The candidates must have solid knowledge of the basic theories related tostructural mechanics:
<1> Classic strength theories of materials (e.g. Material mechanics,elastic & plastic mechanics, fatigue, etc)
<2> FEM method
<3> Knowledge of mechanics vibration, dynamic mechanics is preferred
3. Experience of applying above theories / methods to real industry ispreferred. And experience in elevator industry is highly preferred.
4. The candidates should be familiar with FEM software, e.g. ANSYS orPro/Mechanical. Knowledge and application experience about Pro/Engineer ispreferred.
5. Sound PC skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
6. Good language capability: fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and English (oral,reading and writing).
7. Two years or above experience is preferred.
8. Responsible person with good teamwork spirit; highly motivated, passionateand initiative; forward thinking and task driven, high degree of integrity.
