重铸万里长城---> 把我们的血肉,筑成我们新的长城!
http://demonstrations.wolfram.com/ReconstructionOfTheGreatWall/
Historically, the Great Wall stretches over approximately 6,400 km in total from Shanhaiguan pass in the east to Jayu pass in the west, along a rough arc.
After hundreds of years of natural corrosion and human activity, the Great Wall is vanishing. A survey shows 20% of it is in ruins and another 50% has already disappeared.
This Demonstration shows a method for re-construction the Great Wall by using minimum spanning tree from the remaining GPS points, following 3772 km.
Graphic shows random select points are connected as minimum spanning tree by Kruskal's Algorithm,as method for re-construction the Great Wall with remaining historical section.
Snapshot 1: 10 random points ( occupy 10.9 % ) connected length is 1977 km. Most of remaining GPS points are distributed in the north of Beijing.
Snapshot 2: 46 random points ( occupy 50 % ) connected length is 3494 km as minimum spanning tree of the great wall.
Snapshot 3: 92 all existing points ( occupy 100 % ) results the maximum length of 3772 km.
Initial location data of The Great Wall is based on GPS coordinate points from "Google Earth" .
