很好，相应楼主号召。我觉得还是把专业书和“杂书”分开来的好。因此我下面给出三个专业书和三个“杂书”。

专业书：
1）《mathematical elasticity》，Ciarlet。
这本书不是弹性力学，而是弹性数学（不是姆斯海里什维利的数学弹性力学）。按作者说的：a fascinating aspect of elasticity is that, in the course of its study, one naturally feels the need for studying basic mathematical techniques of analysis and functional analysis. 其中不仅有大家都知道的泛函与变分，还有微分几何，场论，凸分析，拓扑学。尤其这些数学都结合固体的弹性变形，讲解得很清楚，你不需要去读其它的数学书。

2) 《computational approaches for aerospace design》，Keane, Nair。
本书对工程中的DOE, 优化，敏感性分析，不确定分析，都讲得十分清楚，而且内容丰富。不仅对aerospace有用，对土木机械工程都有价值。

3) 《inelastic analysis of structures》，Bazant。
该书是土木类弹塑性分析的好书。对一些理论基础，如热力学内变量理论，塑性理论的来龙去脉，写得十分清楚易懂（好像不少人都说固体的热力学理论不好懂，那时因为他们没找到好的教科书）。对具体得应用也有详细讨论，内容深，容易懂，是其特点。


杂书（圣经，古兰这些经典比较特殊，这里就不推荐了）
1)《孟子》：
据说现在的中国很浮躁，常有人推荐《金刚经》　《花香满径》类的书籍，一般都说它们能使人“心中一股清凉”，大家心中清凉了，自然有益于建设和谐社会。
相反，孟子不是让人清凉，而是让人心中烧起烈火的书。如果说孔子的《论语》是个“仁”字，那么孟子就是一个“勇”字，孟子要人“见危必拯，见义必为”，“虽千万人，吾往矣”。如果说《老子》教你“以柔克刚”，“上善若水”，要“因势利导”，“顺其自然”。孟子则如降龙十八掌，要“至大至刚”，要做“一往无前”的“大丈夫”，“富贵不能淫，威武不能屈，贫贱不能移”。

2) 《沉重的肉身》，刘小枫
作者对国内少有的懂得并研究西方神学的人。看看这本书，明白一下什么是西方神学，与及神学家们都在研究什么。

3)《凤双飞》
这是古代的韵文小说（弹词）。在摆渡搜了一下，有一个评论“此书出女子手笔，专谈男色，有女儿国王狎男妾之智”。这应该古人的评论，我看这个评价不全面。
首先，这是本yy书，和现在网上的yy书其主题十分类似。双主角，两个男主人公天下无敌，英俊无双，建立庞大后宫；并且北灭罗刹，东平倭寇，犁庭扫穴，斩尽杀绝，南扫平越南，灭爪哇凶蛮等等情节。虽是几百年前的作品，却十分有时代特色。艺术上，本书全是诗歌，其诗歌还写得相当不错，其篇幅比全唐诗还要厚。真是佩服作者。
作者是女性，可惜生平事迹没有流传下来，遗憾，绝对是牛人！作者知道地球是圆的，作者还知道英吉利岛国（主人公去欧洲骗了几个公主），作者还懂得一点三角函数，几百年后的林则徐居然都不知道！！不知道清朝人是怎么混的。
小朋友最好别看，原因是：１）政治上有问题，２）有大量色情。

Writing no effort is in generally reading no pleasure.
I am pleasure to read your thread.
Your small comments is helpful as guide line.
So that make me also want to write a little bit more.
I go engieering direction.

My favorite :
1. 三国演义
I read that about 40 times,  Average twice per year.

2. The art of computer programming.
It's a awful great bible for computer and software.
The most important, it changed my personal view point to book as an author.
Almost for every new readers, after they quick scan of this book.
They would ask " Oh. my god. The book can be done like that ? "

3. Rolling bearing Analisys.
It's quite classic engineering book. The perspecive is deep and solid.
This book guide me to real engineering world.


If I recommend to young engineering force.

1. The Art of project managerment.
- Written by senior software project manager of Microsoft.
With many helpful story and experience. Guide you how to best work.

2. introduction to aeronautics a design perspective
I have been review quite a lot A&A books, there are too much theory to be understood.
This book is witten for students from the view point of aeroplane designer.
Simple outline and meaningful motto.

3. Computer science with mathematica
Many software guide book is written for user, how to use the software.
This book is written for reader and student, how to best understand computer.
