[H. 有限元编程] ansys中 管单元与壳单元的区别 跪求~~

ANSYS中提供了多种单元,对于薄壁管道 既能用管单元(直管pipe16 弯管pipe18 )也能用壳单元如shell 63  那么这两种单元在有什么区别?请高手从理论上解释下~~

我分析了一下,不加约束时,壳单元结果会比管单元大一些,这可否用有限元理论解释呢~~

Pipe16 and pipe 18 are basically beam element. Pipe18 is for curved pipe whose cross-section will ovalize and warp under deformation. To account for that, the flexibility factor is introduced.

Ansys released a new type of element called elbow 290 which can simulate ovalization and warping of pipe cross-section.

The reason for these types of pipe elements such as pipe 16/18, pipe 288/289, elbow 290 is that it is computationally unrealistic to model a piping system with shell elements.
