The PSD, which is short for particle size distribution, is the result of a basic soil test. Based on the PSD curve, we can easily find out the exact distribution of the size of particles of the considered soil. Generally speaking, the particles with large size (greater than 0.064mm?) can be well determined and separated by sieve. And for the particles with small size can be separated by sedimentation test.
