Acoustic Ray Analysis Preface
The LMS Virtual.Lab Acoustic Ray Analysis workbench enables you to define a 3D RAY acoustic model and to perform pre and post processing taking full advantage of the LMS Virtual.Lab environment: user friendly interfaces, ease of use, template concept, and intuitive data organization.
In essence, RAY Acoustics enables you to:
Collect and manage component data which characterize the discretized acoustic model. The model representation includes a surface mesh, acoustic properties. The possible properties are:
Fluid Property
Absorbent Panels
Define acoustic sources with specified power levels (constant or function format) and directivity patterns. Source types include:
Point Sources, emerging from defined xyz positions
Panel Sources, emerging from the centre of gravity of specified elements to either side
One Background Noise Source, to take into account background noise.
Create or import a visualization mesh (field point mesh). In addition to the import command, you can create the following visualization meshes:
Isolated Points
Line
Plane
Sphere
Box
Cylinder
Iso 3744
Directivity
Insert the following analysis case.
Acoustic Ray Field Response Analysis Case
ATV Analysis Case
ATV Response Analysis Case
Send the model and settings to the Ray Acoustics solver, and import the results for post-processing. |
