The 17th annual ABAQUS Users' Conference will be held May 25-27, 2004, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. This event brings together ABAQUS users from around the world to share experiences, to discuss enhancements, and to learn about new capabilities. The event will also feature a complementary technology pavilion where providers of ABAQUS-related products will be on hand to explain how their offerings can help make you more successful in your overall engineering process. As always, senior executives, key members of the development team, and product managers from ABAQUS will be on hand to meet with users and listen to presentations.  
  
Technical sessions consisting of invited and contributed lectures will be held along with in-depth tutorials and presentations by ABAQUS personnel relating to new or advanced features in ABAQUS. We expect attendees from all over the world. The meeting provides an opportunity for users to learn of each other's technical work and to become acquainted informally. Social evening activities will be planned for this purpose, including our conference banquet where we have chartered the Odyssey to cruise Boston Harbor.  
  
The meeting will be held at The Charles Hotel, a stylish, upscale hotel located one block from the Charles River and lively Harvard Square, with its eclectic caf駸 and shops. The conference venue offers contemporary d馗or in a historic yet energetic setting that promises to provide a warm and thoughtful atmosphere for the detailed exchange of technical information and ideas.
  
A Conference Proceedings will be published. For the proceedings to be available at the conference, abstracts must be submitted by February 6, 2003 and final manuscripts must be returned to ABAQUS no later than March 1, 2004. If you plan to offer a paper, please visit the Call for Papers web page for additional information and guidelines on how to submit an abstract.
  
An early bird conference registration fee of $750 is available until March 1, 2004, after which the normal fee of $900 will apply. To qualify for the early bird registration fee, we must receive payment or approved purchase order details before March 1, 2004. The conference registration fee includes all conference events and social activities but does not include accommodations. The presenter of an accepted paper will receive an additional $100 deducted from the normal registration fee. On-site registration will be available for an additional charge of $100. Additional tickets for social activities only will be available.
  
The day prior to the conference we will offer a number of tutorials on advanced topics in ABAQUS. Additional details on these tutorials will be forthcoming shortly. For budget purposes, a fee of $375 is the expected cost for these concentrated training sessions.

The Charles Hotel is reserving a block of rooms for ABAQUS at a special group rate of $185 per night plus tax. Please contact the hotel directly by calling +1 617 864 1200 no later than April 15, 2004, to make your reservation at the group rate.
