AVEVA acquires Tribon
  
Aveva Group, the U.K.-based engineering software and IT services supplier acquires Tribon Solutions.
Aveva is a leading provider of IT solutions and services to the process and power plant industries. Their Plant Design Management System (PDMS) is in use by the majority of the most significant companies in process and power plant creation. In October 2003 Autodesk and AVEVA form strategic alliance to provide extended design software solutions. "The alliance integrates AVEVA's VANTAGE Plant Design Management System (PDMS) and AutoCAD 2004, Autodesk's 2D drafting, detailing, and design tool ..."
Similarly to PDMS, Tribon also has its own drafting tool - Tribon Drafting that is good for modeling but in some cases not enough for output drawings and documentation.
