SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position: Field Service Engineer —Northern China
Dept/Div: Operation
Location: Beijing
1. Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer will be based in Beijing to handle all fields and technical services including start-up, test and commissioning, system upgrade, warranty service of Lutron Lighting Control Systems at customer’s locations in Beijing and other major cities within China.
2. Knowledge Required
Academic degree(s) required: degree/diploma in Electrical/Electronics/
Control & Instrumentation Engineering
Specialized skill(s) required: good knowledge in Building Electrical Services, Code of practice for Electrical Installations, 3-phase AC supply and computer skills
Foreign Languages required: fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese(Putonghua) languages
3. Experience Required
Number of years experience required: more than 3 years
Have relevant working experience in Lighting Controls, Building Automation or Industrial Control Automation.
Be capable of frequent travel at short notice
Have the mind-set to excel customers’ expectations when providing services
A team player with good analytical and interpersonal communications skills, self-motivated
4. Principal Accountabilities
Perform system setup, program, train distributors/customers and deal with contractors and lighting designers
Identity technical solutions to customer’s problems, respond to technical requests, resolve problems both on-site and remotely
Prioritize the service requests and is able to meet the response time
Liaise with general contractor, electrical contractor and sales for better planning commissioning schedule and meet job schedule
Manage field service spare parts inventory/stock and conduct regular cycle count |
