建议大家在linux下使用comsol

看到置顶有讨论内存利用率的问题，我刚开始也是在win下使用，2G的内存顶多能到800M左右，后来听说linux下内存管理比较好，就用linux，果然强大，基本上是有多大内存就能利用多少，2G内存的PC机算上百万个自由度一点问题没有，我最多的一次算了200万个自由度。

不知linux是否分32位和64位系统？
很久以前玩过，当时电脑配置差

actually the amount of memory required to solve a problem depends on the number of non zero entries in the jacobian matrix, not the number of DOF, please refer to knowledge base, solution number 830.

which win system did u use?x64 or x32? xp or vista?
I had experienced linux x64 and xp x64, I didn't see obvious difference between them.
As I know they all based on Java anyway. So the memory management cannot be good.

对同样的模型，需要的内存显然主要取决于自由度。而且关键是在划分网格的时候的就out of memory了 3# ruopiao1009

LINUX也分32位和64位，当然64位要优于32位，我用的是LINUX系统，感觉非常好，特别是基于red hat的LINUX（centos）更是优于其它的系统，可以试试这个系统，得利用率很高。并且是开源代码。

WINDOWS和lLINUX你说的都不对，呵呵！2G-pc就能百万，您的自由度怎么计算的？
